Meet our Pasture Pets

Here are our Pasture Pets. They can be adopted as Pasture Pets. Most of them cannot be ridden due to injuries sustained prior to arrival at our rescue. They can also be sponsored. Take a look and let us know if you would like to adopt or sponsor one of these beauties.

BABY

IN FOSTER

Baby is a chestnut mare Thoroughbred. She arrived at the rescue on 7/3/18 from Kentucky. Her foal date is 2010. She is spirited and full of herself. Can you help a girl out?

CURRENTLY BEING FOSTERED

SOPHIE

Sophie is a grey dapple mare Thoroughbred. She arrived at the rescue on 4/14/08. Her foal date is 2014. She is very sweet. Are there any freckled face lovers out there that can help this girl?

MOLLY

Molly is a Chestnut mare Thoroughbred.

Her foal date is 2016. She arrived at the rescue on 6/28/17. Her mother fell on her and broke her nose, so her nose is crooked. We got her when she was one from Kentucky. She is green, but adoptable. She loves hanging out with her bestie Mary.

RAJA (HOORAJA)

Raja is a chestnut mare Thoroughbred. She arrived at the rescue on 2/24/08. Her foal date is 4/9/06. She never raced. She was not too trusting when she got here but she is making progress and getting better. Can you help this girl gain some trust?

BARRON (DIDDY BITECHA)

Don't you love his registered name? Barron is a bay gelding Thoroughbred. He arrived at the rescue on 2/29/19. His foal date is 2/25/15. He ran in 7 races and won $9,283. He has an arthritic knee. He can be lightly ridden. The owner was getting rid of him due to his knee issues. We went to Arkansas to get him. He's very friendly, big and beautiful. Do you have room in your heart and field for this beautiful boy?

HAIKU (BABINDA)

Haiku is a dark bay Thoroughbred and arrived at our rescue on 6/1/17. Foal date is 4/12/05.

She ran in 4 races and made $1,200. She came from California. She is besties with Easy (one of our Pasture Pets). Haiku would love to be your bestie!

 

Mr. W.(OUR LITTLE PRINCE)

ADOPTED

Mr. W. is a chestnut gelding Thoroughbred. His foal date is 2015. He arrived at our rescue on 9/24/18 from New York. He was a wobbler when he was very young, but is stable now. He’s never been ridden but may be suitable for light riding. He is the sweetest horse on the ranch.

ADOPTED

LENNY

We think Lenny is a Quarter horse and Morgan cross, but not definite. He arrived at the rescue on 5/10/21 from a kill pen. He has a crooked front foot and the owners got rid of him. As you can see from the one picture, he can run and is enjoying his life at the sanctuary. Lenny is a funny boy and loves playing in the water. He's very sweet and we can't believe someone got rid of him due to his crooked front foot. He loves hanging out with Lady Gaga. Could you open your heart and sponsor Lenny?

SPIRIT

Spirit is a 16/17 year old palomino Quarter horse and arrived at the rescue on 7/15/22. He is blind and relies on Winston to get around. Spirit started to freak out when he couldn't find Winston, so we put a cowbell on him and that did the trick. He always knows where his buddy is at and has relaxed a lot more. Can you help guide Spirit with a sponsorship?

Spirit & Winston can be adopted but must remain together.

WINSTON

Winston is a sorrel Quarter horse and is 20+ years old. He arrived at the rescue with Spirit on 7/15/22. We were told he was a parade horse by his previous owner. He is Spirit's seeing eye horse. He is pretty sweet. Winston & Spirit can be adopted together. Can you share a little to help this retired parade horse?
